Organizers with El Paso Pro-Musica released details of the 2017-18 season, which begins Nov. 5 and 6.
The 40th annual season of classical music concerts will feature performances by some of the world’s finest classical music artists, including Grammy Award-winning cellist and Pro-Musica musical director Zuill Bailey, as well as community engagement and community outreach, according to a news release.
The season begins with a pair of concerts by Bailey and pianist Elizabeth DeMio in El Paso and Las Cruces. Organizers said the concerts will feature music by “The Five B’s”: Beethoven, Boccherini, Bruch, Bloch and Bailey.
In keeping with its educational mission and Bailey’s new post as the director of the University of Texas at El Paso’s Center for Arts Entrepreneurship, the season also will feature master classes on the music business, recording, performance and communication skills by Bailey and his fellow musicians. dummy
